Dr. Yaser Al Sabi

Dr. Yaser Al Sabi is a Saudi Speech-Language Pathologist and rehabilitation specialist with extensive experience in speech, language, hearing and cochlear-implant rehabilitation. His current role is Rehabilitation Manager for the Middle East, Russia, Turkey and Africa (MERTA) at Cochlear Arabia, where he leads rehabilitation services across the region.

He previously served as Director of Al-Zamil Center for Speech and Hearing from 2024–2026. Before that, he held academic leadership positions at Dar Al-Hekma University in Jeddah, including Director of the Master's Program in Speech-Language Pathology and Director of the Bachelor's Program in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences.

Dr. Al Sabi earned his PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Howard University in 2007. He also holds two Master's degrees in the field, one from the University of Jordan in 1994 and another in Speech Pathology and Audiology from San Jose State University in 1999. He is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP).

His professional and research work focuses on speech-language development, hearing rehabilitation, cochlear implants and communication disorders. His publications include research on school-readiness screening for speech, language and hearing in children in Saudi Arabia.

Prof. Ho Sheng Lin

Ho-Sheng Lin, MD, FACS is a Professor and the Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Wayne State University (WSU) School of Medicine. He received his MD from Yale University School of Medicine and then went on to complete an Otolaryngology residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and New York University Medical Center. After his residency, Dr. Lin completed fellowship training in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Stanford University. He joined the Department of Otolaryngology at WSU in 2002.

Dr. Lin's clinical interests include surgical treatment of cancer and disease involving the mouth, throat, neck, thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary glands as well as surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring. He has special interest in the use of new and minimally invasive technology in head and neck surgery. He has used Harmonic technology for minimally invasive thyroid surgery. He is the first surgeon in the state of Michigan to use the robotic technology (da Vinci robot) to perform surgery on the larynx (voice box) and pharynx (throat) for treatment of cancer and sleep apnea. He is also the first Otolaryngologist in Michigan to perform a robotic-assisted thyroidectomy (thyroid surgery without a neck incision).
